Athens has over 3,000 years of history, and you’ll feel it at every corner. Don’t miss the Acropolis (a UNESCO site), the lively Plaka, and the Acropolis Museum. If time allows, walk up Pnyx Hill for sunset photos of the Parthenon, shop for komboloi (Greek worry beads), and explore metro stations where ancient relics are frequently being discovered.

This stop combines fascinating ruins and natural beauty. Just outside Kusadasi lies Ephesus—an open-air museum full of ancient treasures. Visit the hillside homes on Bulbul Mountain, where each rooftop is a terrace in itself. Tonight, enjoy a Destination Discovery Event: dinner under the stars and a concert beside the famed Celsus Library or along Harbour Street.

Take this day to enjoy life at sea. Whether relaxing in your suite, lounging by the pool, or joining an onboard activity, it’s a perfect time to enjoy everything the ship offers. Without a set port, this is your chance to slow the pace and fully enjoy the luxury of sailing aboard Star Legend.

Kavala is a lively port city in northern Greece, known for its history and coastal charm. Towering over the city is Kavala Castle, with sweeping sea views. The old town’s narrow lanes and classic houses highlight its Ottoman and Byzantine roots. Don’t miss local specialities—try cured meat (kovourmas), spiced meatballs (soutzoukakia), and regional cheeses.

Arrive noon – Overnight stay

Greece’s second-largest city, Thessaloniki, blends culture and history. See famous sites like the White Tower, Rotunda, and Arch of Galerius. Walk along the old Byzantine Walls to reach the Trigonion Tower and admire the stunning views. Just outside the city, explore the site of Vergina and its royal tombs. Thessaloniki’s buzzing waterfront is perfect for relaxing with a view.

Enjoy more time in Thessaloniki to discover new places or revisit favorites. Climb to the Trigonion Tower again for a daytime view, or walk through the lively streets. Visit the royal tombs at Vergina or enjoy a coffee along the waterfront. With an overnight stay, there’s time to truly enjoy the atmosphere, the history, and the rhythm of the city.

Volos is a coastal city with a rich local scene. At the base of Mount Pelion, it gives easy access to beaches, forests, and small mountain villages. Its promenade is lined with cafés, tavernas, and shops serving local seafood and dishes. A highlight nearby is Meteora (UNESCO site), with its centuries-old monasteries set on top of towering rock cliffs.

Skopelos is renowned for its lush green hills, crystal-clear blue sea, and tranquil villages. It was the film location for Mamma Mia!, and its golden beaches, like Kastani, draw visitors year-round. The main town offers cobbled lanes, local tavernas, and tiny shops. Churches and old monasteries can be found across the island, adding to its peaceful and timeless charm.

Arrive 7 a.m.

You return to Athens, surrounded again by the spirit of ancient Greece. Revisit the Acropolis, Plaka, or Acropolis Museum, or find something new. For one last special view, head back up to Pnyx Hill. Pick up some komboloi souvenirs or admire how modern metro stations still display ancient finds - reminders that in Athens, the past is never far away.
