Located just south of Sibenik, Primosten is a lovely village on the beautiful Dalmatian Coast. Its great appeal flows freely through narrow streets, beautiful old stone houses, and classic buildings shaped by the Venetian Republic. Built on a rocky stretch of land that juts into the sea, this historic town was once connected to the mainland by a movable bridge. This is exactly how it got its name in the 16th century, as the Croatian word "primostiti" means "to bridge". At the very top of the village, the Church of St. George looks out over a wonderful bay filled with clear water. To the north, the popular Raduca beach rests calmly between the bright sky and a green pine forest. Nearby, famous local grapevines grow safely behind low stone walls, completing this perfect picture.

On the Dalmatian coast, the busy town of Split offers amazing cultural sites right by the sea. Just steps away from a nice waterfront shaded by palm trees, the old town center is a famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Its most important feature is the massive Diocletian’s Palace. Here, you can walk through old stone halls, open courtyards with carved pillars, and a Roman tomb turned into the Cathedral of Saint Domnius. If you feel hungry during your walk, take a seat at an outdoor café in the Pjaca, the main square of the old town, and try a tasty local pancake.

Located off the coast of Split, the island of Hvar will amaze you with old traditions that have survived since ancient times. Croatia's oldest town, Stari Grad, is on this Dalmatian island. Founded by the Ancient Greeks in 384 BC, it holds the proud title of the oldest continuously lived-in town in the country. The town sits peacefully by a small bay on the northwest coast, surrounded by old stone walls on the large Stari Grad plains. These fields are a UNESCO World Heritage site because the Ancient Greeks first planted them. Today, these same fields still produce wonderful wines and handmade olive oil. In the upper part of the town, you can also easily find and taste excellent local hams and fresh cheeses made by friendly farmers.

This beautiful harbor town has a very special location, resting on a small point of land on the northeastern coast of the island of Korcula. The thick stone walls in its medieval area offer perfect views across the water to the Peljesac peninsula. To reach the top, you can walk up the grand staircase in the Revelin Tower. Another great option is to climb the steps shaded by tall palm trees starting from the Marine Gate. As you walk through the narrow, twisting streets, you will see the tall bell tower of Saint Mark’s Cathedral standing high above. This famous building will help you easily find the house where Marco Polo was born. The island also offers great local wines to try.
