Civitavecchia is the main seaport serving Rome and the starting point for your cruise. It connects travelers to the Tyrrhenian Sea and many Mediterranean destinations. The city is 70 km from Rome and 62 km from Fiumicino airport, making it an easy, convenient place to begin your journey.

Spend a full day sailing the open sea aboard a classic tall ship. Feel the wind fill the sails as the ship moves smoothly across the water. Relax by the pools on the top deck, read a book in the quiet library, or climb the ship's rigging with the help of the crew. It is a perfect day to rest and enjoy traditional sailing.

The Aeolian archipelago consists of seven volcanic islands. Lipari is the main island, offering a beautiful view of its historic Acropolis and Cathedral from the water. The marina is full of small shops and local stalls. Later, the ship sails near Stromboli, known as the "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean." It is an active volcano rising directly from the sea. Watching the smoking summit from the deck is an unforgettable natural sight.

After sailing through the narrow Strait of Messina, you will arrive in the beautiful town of Taormina. Located on the side of Mount Etna, it offers amazing views of the sea and the volcano. The famous writer Goethe once called Taormina the greatest work of art and nature. Explore its historic streets, ancient theater, and local cafés.

Agropoli is a beautiful coastal town and the gateway to the Cilento region. Its medieval center features an ancient castle looking over narrow streets, cafés, and golden beaches. From here, you can take an optional tour to Paestum, an important archaeological site. Walking among the well-preserved ancient Greek temples offers a great look into southern Italy's history.

Sorrento sits high on the cliffs above the sea, overlooking the Bay of Naples. Its historic center is full of winding lanes, small shops, and local restaurants. From here, you can take an optional excursion to Pompeii, where you can walk through the ancient Roman city that was frozen in time by a volcanic eruption.

Ponza is a peaceful island with brightly colored houses rising above a busy harbor. Here, local fishing boats share the water with elegant yachts. The town remains mostly untouched by large crowds, making it a wonderful place to walk around and experience authentic Italian island life.

Return to Civitavecchia to conclude your cruise. From here, you can easily continue your travels to Rome or head to the airport. It is a smooth and relaxing end to your sailing adventure along the Italian coast.
