From a hill looking over the old town, you can spot the ancient Gibralfaro castle and the Alcazaba fortress standing proudly among tall green trees. You can also explore a wonderful museum dedicated to the famous artist Pablo Picasso, who was born here.

The lively Orange Square is the city's historic heart, near the 10th-century Arabic castle and the grand local church. Not far from here, you can also enjoy amazing views of the deep river gorges.
