Dalmatia cruise highlights

Early morning departure toward the island of Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Enjoy a morning swim in the sea and lunch before arriving. A perfect introduction to this unique island is a guided sightseeing tour around the old town. Visit its narrow cobblestone streets and discover the centuries-old architecture or immerse yourself in its rich culture preserved through time. Before leaving Korčula, why not take a walk by the marina or the nearby open market to shop for souvenirs and other local specialities? Your cruise continues towards Lastovo, the farthest inhabited island in Dalmatia, and docks in the port of Ubli. From there, a local bus or taxi drives to Lastovo village to visit the local winery and to taste some indigenous wine sorts (optional). The island is surrounded by many smaller islands, with secluded bays and coves perfect for snorkelling. Overnight on anchor in the bay with the Captain's Dinner on board.

Early morning departure towards Vis Island. Vis is a special place. Due to its unique geographical position, it was a strategic harbour for the Yugoslav navy and off-limits to tourists for many years. This island has retained a rather special charm reflecting the "Mediterranean as it once was". Near Vis, there is a tiny Ravnik island, with the Green Cave attractive to visit (entrance fee approx. EUR 10.-). It has a mysterious greenish light that reflects in the sea from the hole on top of the cave. It was named after this unusual light effect, and it's recommended to visit the cave at midday. A short swim stop and then set sail further to the town of Vis for overnight.

Early in the morning, cruise toward the little island Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. The colours of the water and their reflections will take your breath away. (entrance fee is to be paid on the spot EUR 18.- per person). Continuation to Stari Grad on the island of Hvar. The town remains today one of the most beautiful, very old towns in Croatia, with colourful houses on narrow cobblestone streets, squares, and narrow alleys full of life. This evening, enjoy a visit to Hvar. Our guide will take you through its old town walls and its famous "Fields", where you can also taste some local specialities. Overnight in one of the ports of Stari Grad, main or ferry port (2 km away), depending on availability.

The next stop is the island of Brac. The most famous (and most photographed) beach in Dalmatia is Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn). A shingle bar that moves according to the wind, it's an excellent place for a swim stop. A 10-minute walk away lies Bol, a typical fishermen's village that kept its atmosphere despite becoming a popular touristic spot. Take a walk on the seaside promenade or cycle along the promenade. Hike or rent a scooter to visit Vidova Gora (at 778m, the highest peak on all Adriatic islands) for a spectacular view of Bol and beyond or visit the semi-abandoned village of Murvica. Find a friendly tavern or restaurant and taste excellent fresh fish, local wines, and other delicacies of this unique island. Overnight in Bol.

Enjoy the best of the last day, relaxing and swimming in various quiet bays on the island of Brač before arriving in Split in the afternoon. Split is the second-largest city in Croatia and the capital of Dalmatia. The city started to develop as an important trade centre on the Adriatic Sea in ancient times. A significant portion of its visitors are drawn by its rich heritage, including the Palace of Diocletian, arguably one of Europe's most beautiful buildings. Enjoy a guided tour and free time.
