Istanbul is a unique city that connects two continents. It has been an important cultural and business center for thousands of years. Today, it is a busy city full of history, impressive mosques, and lively markets. It is an exciting place to start your sailing holiday before boarding your tall ship.

Spend a full day sailing the open sea aboard a classic tall ship. Feel the wind fill the sails as the ship moves smoothly across the water. Relax by the pools on the top deck, read a book in the quiet library, or climb the ship's rigging with the help of the crew. It is a perfect day to rest and enjoy traditional sailing.

Dikili is a quiet coastal town with a harbor full of local restaurants and small shops. It is an excellent starting point to visit the ancient city of Pergamon. You can take an optional tour to see its impressive historical ruins, which stand high on a hill, including the famous ancient medical center.

The island of Limnos is rich in ancient Greek mythology and features a beautiful natural landscape. The main town of Myrina sits below a large historic castle built in 1186. You can walk through the town's traditional streets, enjoy local wines grown in volcanic soil, and explore some of the oldest ancient ruins in Greece located nearby.

Start your day with a quiet morning sail along the Agio Oros peninsula, home to the famous monasteries of Mount Athos. The ship moves slowly, giving you great views of the historic stone buildings set against the green mountains. Later, you arrive in Ouranoupoli, a peaceful Greek village known for its clear waters. You can see the historic Byzantine Tower, walk along the beach, and eat fresh seafood.

Skopelos is a beautiful green island made famous by the movie Mamma Mia. It offers a wonderful combination of nature and traditional Greek culture. You can walk through the narrow streets of Skopelos Town to see white houses and historic churches. The island is also known for its excellent beaches, clear blue water, and great local food.

Poros is a small, lively island close to the mainland. It is home to the Greek Naval Academy, and the town features beautiful waterfront cafes and shops. Poros is also a great starting point for an optional tour to the ancient theater of Epidaurus, one of the best-preserved Greek theaters, famous for its amazing sound design.

Return to the port of Piraeus to finish your cruise. You are just a short distance from the center of Athens, giving you a chance to explore the ancient Acropolis or head directly to the airport. It is a smooth and easy end to your sailing adventure through the Mediterranean.
